Reviews
This Japanese restaurant offers a solid dining experience, but it comes with a hefty price tag. The place has a nice ambiance, blending a traditional and modern feel. The menu has your usual Japanese fare, and while everything tastes good, it doesn't quite hit the wow factor. The unagi is comforting, and the tempura is crispy, but you might find similar quality at other places for a more reasonable price.
The service is decent, and the staff is friendly, adding a positive touch to the overall experience. However, the high prices seem to outweigh the overall value. If you're willing to splurge a bit, you'll get a tasty meal, but it's not a game-changer in the world of Japanese dining. While it doesn't leave a lasting impression, it's a reliable option if you're in the mood for familiar Japanese flavors with a higher price tag attached.
food was pretty good! the Black Angus striploin was cooked well, the miso butter served with it was a big hit for my friends. my favourite was the lamb chops. the grilled salmon wings sadly had a lot of bones so we couldn't enjoy that as much. cream corn croquettes and sweet potato (satsuma imo) were also good. at $44pp without drinks, it is fairly priced. good central option for fancy Japanese style dining.
Went for dinner before a show. Was really good food ! The chicken wings are outstanding. The service lacked a little bit and the place needed a good clean other then that though food was top notch and will return
Great place to knock back a pint or two or a red if that's your preference. Excellent range of Japanese beers and whiskeys.
They also offer a delectable range of Yakitori and other standard bar grub.
Love the central location, range of liquors and general vibe. Highly recommended
The food here is amazing! We could not fault any of the dishes at all - the whole experience was amazing and service by Gurnie was second to none. We will definitely be back.
I loved them sushi 🍣 sashimi and cocteles! The second floor has a balcony and it’s very nice option to eat there. Fast service and friendly staff.
Great lunch! Steak is tender, portion size is large. Side dishes are nice. Price is fair, the only thing I can complain is steam rice too dry, also the seat are too narrow at where I was sit at the box seat. Overall still really good. Can’t wait to come back and try the dinner here again! Thank you for the meal.
Had dinner here last night and the food was amazing! The wagyu aburi and the bbq short ribs were my favorite 😋 Definitely coming back
